What's New? April 2, 2006 Yesterday was the annual Andale City-Wide Garage Sale. It was a huge success. Of particular note was the LARGE garage sale held at the Knights of Columbus Hall. It was full of donated items for the "Luke Horsch" Memorial Fund. Proceeds of this sale to go to new playground equipment at Andale Elementary School. September 11, 2005 The September yards of the month have been selected. Select the yard of the month link to view those. Congratulations to Chris and Kristie Herrman and Gilber and Regina Simon. A Frequently Asked Questions section for the Cowskin Creek Watershed has been added. It will answer many questions about this ongoing project. August 9, 2005 We've just finished the tenth annual summerfest celebration in Andale. Tons of people turned out for a fantastic day. It started out with a mile run/walk race and finished with a dance and fireworks display. Click on the SummerFest link to see pictures of the day. Check back often as more pictures are added. May 17, 2005 The annual Yard of the Month recognition is again being sponsored by the Andale Area Chamber of Commerce. Congratulations to Max and Shirley Stuever and T.C. & Ellen Cobb. March 25, 2005 The annual city wide garage sale is coming up soon. This event will take place on Saturday, April 9 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. You can sign up at Andale City Hall, 304 N. Main or call Virginia Edwards at the Andale City Office, 444-2351 by April 6. Maps sales locations will be available after that date. A copy of the map will posted on this website. I was asked to write a brief history of the Andale Area Chamber of Commerce. I thought that it might interest others. You can find it from here or a link on the home page. March 6, 2005 Tonight, the Chamber held its annual banquet. The president's responsibilities were turned over to long time chamber supporter, Paul Temaat. Shannon McCormick replaced Ronda Rau as chamber treasurer. A BIG thanks goes to past president Doug Maxwell and treasurer Ronda Rau. Both did a super job. We look forward to their continued participation with the chamber. Featured guests at the banquet was the Hutchinson Brass Quintet. They performed a wide variety of music from marches, to classical, to jazz. They were fantastic! Click on this link to go to the banquet page. February 19, 2005 The annual Andale Area Chamber of Commerce banquet is just around the corner. The banquet will be on March 6, 2005. It will be held at the Knights of Columbus Hall. Happy hour begins at 5:30 with dinner being served at 6 p.m. The Hutchinson Brass Quintet will perform at 6:45. This an outstanding musical group that performs over extensively in the central Kansas area. The slate of officers includes Paul Temaat for President; Vice-President (to be nominated from the floor); Shannon McCormic for Treasurer; and Rhonda Horsch, Secretary. The positions of president, vice president, and treasurer are up for vote. Membership costs can be found here. The meal costs $10.50 per person. Please reserve your spot by March 1.
