Minutes from June 13, AACC Meeting (These are not the official minutes and may differ from those!) The meeting was called to order by President Paul Temaat at 7 p.m. The minutes from the last meeting were read and approved. The treasurer's report was read and approved. The watershed treasurers report was read and approved, as well. Four high school and one college students have been selected to follow up on the watershed research that has been done thus far. The will be reimbursed for their time. Doug Maxwell has made contact with the county commission. Discussions are being held with about the watershed project. The Goddard by-pass meeting will be held in Goddard on June 14 at 7:30 p.m. Their discussions will probably have impact on the watershed project. Nick Martin spoke the group about concerns that the local Andale Watershed group has not been included in the project. Ron Ketzner spoke about the work that SummerFest committee. Chairmen for all committees have been lined up. Two new events have been lined up for SummerFest: a putting green and an art and book sale. Loretta Sadler is in charge of this event and is asking for donations. Members of the Library board have asked that they reconsider this, as they feel it will cut back on donations to the Library. The summerfest committee will meet to reconcile these concerns. They have three t-shirt designs to consider. Caps will again be sold this year. There was discussion about adding more outlets to the park instead of using generators. It will be discussed with the city, with the possibility of the chamber and city splitting the cost of the installation. Fireworks will go on sale in the City Park from June 30 to July 4. Janet Hintz will again be in charge of the sales. She will be contacting others to help with the sales. Please be generous with your time. Since we can't use the park building, sales will be in a tent. Storage of the fireworks was discussed when not being sold. A metal trailer will be looked into. Ads will be put in the Mt. Hope Clarion the week before sales and the week of the sale. The yard sof the month for May were T.C. and Ellen Cobb and Max and Shirley Stuever. Nick Martin suggested a couple of additional businesses for the Business Directory. Those will be included in the next printing. If you have a business that would like to be listed please contact the webmaster of this site. The meeting was
adjourned at 8:10 p.m.
